||WeatherCheck is supposedly a desktop weather application to display weather information by clicking on the system tray icon. WeatherCheck installs the ClearStream browser accelerator with no notice or consent. ClearStream is said to display ads, usually pop-ups.
WeatherCheck does not uninstall from the add/remove applet in the control panel. When the user clicks to remove it, a message comes up saying it has already been removed and asks if you want to remove it from the add/remove list. Choosing "yes" does remove it from the list but the process continues to run and the icon remains in the system tray.
